The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your Dodge Journey in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your Journey is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change.
Some Dodges have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your Journey is located. If your Journey has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question. If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Journey, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse.
If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic.
They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your Journey. Many cars will burn or leak a little bit of oil. Over time, this adds up and you might need to add some - learn how to here!
White light when you back up - yup, they burn out and you can replace them with bright LEDs. Your coolant should perform well under any condition - just like Aaron Rodgers!
DRLs are on more than your headlights. They burn out faster and should be replaced regularly. If your blinker doesn't blink, or blinks rapidly, you likely have a burnt out bulb. Getting Started Prepare for the repair. Remove Cover Locate interior fuse box and remove cover. Locate Bad Fuse Find the fuse that is tied to the bad component. Remove Fuse Take out the fuse in question and assess if blown. Test Component Secure the cover and test component.

Hi Mark, thank you for the quick response. I was thinking of checking if the clutch will engage before refilling the freon or sending it to a workstation to do it.
I saw som videos doing a relay thru d fuse box I do not know if is possible if the freon is high or low. I planned of doing a refill by myself but i will have to wait for 2 weeks before i can buy r refrigerant in our area.

Our certified mobile mechanics can come to your home or office to perform the Check Engine Light diagnostic. The Power Control Module PCM uses information that it receives from the ambient air temperature sensor to regulate the levels of the ambient air temperature and intake air temperature.Dodge Journey Fuse box locations & OBD 2 Scanner Location
If the ambient air temperature reaches a level above that of the intake air temperature, the Power Control Module PCM will store the P trouble code and the Check Engine Light will come on. The biggest indication of a problem with the ambient air temperature system is that the Check Engine Light is on. Anything possibly covering the ambient air temperature sensor should be removed as well. If necessary, repair or replace any of these components. The P trouble code should be cleared and the a test drive of the vehicle should be conducted a test drive to see if the trouble code returns.
If the trouble code does not return, the repair is complete. In the event that the trouble code returns immediately, the ambient air temperature sensor needs to be replaced.
If this is the case, more extensive diagnosis would be required. In the unlikely event that none of these measures have resolved the ambient air temperature sensor problem and cleared the P code, it is possible the there is a problem with the Power Control Module PCM.
This is extremely rare. It is common for the ambient air temperature sensor to be replaced without first inspecting the wiring and connector for defects.
It is not always necessary to replace the entire ambient air temperature sensor. The P trouble code is not considered to be one that is serious, as it does not affect the drivability or functioning of the vehicle. It is important to inspect the wires and connector for damage or defects before replacing the ambient air temperature sensor. New batteryno lights or switches left on but battery continues to draincharging system is good also. Nancy answered 2 years ago. James answered about a year ago. I got a 3. Her battery dies overnight. I did the amp draw test with my meter and it was pulling 2.
Was pulling fuses under the hood no change. Then I pulled the radio 15 amp fuse under the glove box. The amp draw dropped to. The bad thing is if you need the AC or Heat the controls for that does not work once the radio fuse is pulled.
Now there is another issue this seemed to happen when the bluetooth module for the radio quit working. I will try to get around on disconnecting the bluetooth module to see if the AMP draw is around. Even 0. I'm thinking at 0. I was not going to wait that long to see when it actually powers off to a lower amp value. Does anyone have the specs on amp draw it supposed to be? Our journey is aand should not be having these issues. Its all the more frustrating that Chrysler is aware of both issues, hoping they are willing to good will the repairs but we will see. GuruX44ZL answered about a year ago. No answer here, only frustration - same issue: maps - Bluetooth - battery going dead. From day one of purchase warning lights came up driving form the dealer to home, oil light sounded then goes off, ASP, ESP- Thought it would clear 15th May she wouldn't start - Advise the dealer said we would need a new battery due to the cold weather Got the battery and replace.
Fixed issues 27th June oil light now on - 1st July Dead again 2nd July replace battery with Higher CC 14th July Dead again, wouldn't start - spoke with dealer and finance company 16th July back the the service center again, checking 20th July - Stuck in idling in the morning, battery dead again 21st July - Flat battery - had everything off, radio and air con 28th July - Back to the service center Now after research the TIPM is the issue, as every time there's a different failure and every time the battery is flat, Dodge does not recognize the issue as a recall, and now no longer reproduces the part Go figure - Feeling guttered that this car is a lemon and Dodge doesn't care.
I tried to return this lemon but without knowledge and money I'm stuck. I just spend any extra money I have. Heart broken and broke I wish they cared. Now waiting for AAA to tow me and tapped out, please God help me.
Dodge Grand Caravan (2013) – fuse box diagram
FCA discontinues the part! Presumably because there are multiple complaints with multiple vehicles using this same part.
Class action in California. How can a company discontinue a part integral to the operation of the vehicle on an 8 year old vehicle? An 8 year old vehicle and FCA obsoleted the part with no replacement! How is this possible?! Had the vehicle back for two days, Won't start.
Check Engine light on. Traced to the WIN module; Ignition switch. At least this time they had the part. Yet mine isn't one of them! Bought this vehicle used, everything was fine for about 2 weeks.
Finally had to pull the fuse, put the fuse back in and everything was fine. The car alarm would go off intermittently, then the battery would die. Replaced battery with a brand new one. Couple days later battery dead. Took it to the dodge dealer and paid for a computer update, which stopped the alarm from going off all the time.
They also pulled up a code of B1A79 that has to do with antenna wireless remote ignition module. But there were no recommendation for fixing it apparently. Unfortunately about once a week I have to jump it due to dead battery.
Have hand fuses pulled from my horn for several years. Have had three new batteries in a month but if the car sits overnight it won't start and the battery is drained. Have had diagnostics run twice and nothing can be found faulty.
Have not wanted to take it to the dealer but may be forced to as a highly recommended electrical shop cannot find the issue.

A yellow plastic fuse puller tool is included at the front left area of the fuse panel. Press in the two tabs on the right side of the fuse box to release the retaining clips. Swing open the fuse box cover from the right over to the left side.
There is a fuse location diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover and also another one in your owner's manual. Place the jaws of the fuse puller tool over the old fuse you'd like to check or change and pull it straight out of the socket.
If the thin metal strip inside the translucent plastic middle section of the fuse appears to be intact, the fuse is most likely still good. Since new fuses are so inexpensive, the fuse should still be replaced as part of your electrical issue troubleshooting.
If the metal bar inside the center of the fuse appears to be broken or "burnt", the fuse is most likely "blown" and should be replaced with a new one. Be sure to buy the standard mini blade fuses and not the relatively newer style of "low profile" fuses since they won't fit. Replace the fuse puller tool and swing the cover closed. Push down the fuse box cover to secure the two retaining clips. If changing the blown fuse has not fixed your electrical issue, you may have a wire that is shorted or a faulty component that needs to be replaced.
Be sure to record the fuse change in your vehicle's service records. If you found this guide to be helpful, please consider making a small donation by clicking on the PayPal. Thank you!
